Long time ago, I coded a program for creation of PIN numbers on credit cards.
The PIN number is encoded with another number identifying the card's holder.
The whole combination isn't four digits (I don't remember how much digits
there are finally).  Some people safely may share the same PIN number.  This
can't be compared to UNIX passworts, since you must have the *card* and the
PIN to break someone's "account".
