autowrap

Herrington) explains why autowrap in the terminal driver may interfere
with specific applications.

For this reason autowrap, like most of the other things one sets with
stty, should be switchable.  A hypothetical 4.4BSD example:

   stty autowrap:yes parity:none columns:80 echo:delayed histedit:vi
