It would also be interesting to me to see the distributions for the total path
lengths, and for number of levels in the paths: for programs that just allocate
a fixed size buffer to put a file name into, what size would handle 99% of
normal files?  And how many levels deep do real systems typically have their
files nested?  (My system is too small to get data that will be worth much.)
