Analysing memory-locked, texted-locked, or data-locked processes

   The "ps" command can be used in trouble-shooting system performance 
   problems.  The man pages on ps say that the state of a process may have
   a 2nd letter indicating the memory status of the process, eg.
   P (memory-locked), T (text-locked) , D (data-locked), etc.   How would you
   use this field in trouble-shooting system performance problems?
