vme bus

help!!  i am in desperate need of a unix expert.  i am using a sun 4
sparcstation 330.  i need to know how to write to the vme bus.  i have

i have the dev/vme32d32 driver, but i don't know how to open it.
can i read and write using peek and poke?   help!!
