Adding a second hard drive

I would like to take my 20 meg Plus hardcard, which will be used just for
DOS, and put it on a machine that has an 80 meg hard drive, which has both
DOS an XENIX installed on it. If I make the DOS partition on the 80 meg hd
active, it will recognize the hardcard as drive D. When I make the XENIX
partition active and then try to boot, I get a Kernal error. I have to
then take the hardcard out to boot up to XENIX.

The "Installation & Maintainence" manual instructs you to run fdisk on
the second drive, but if you can't get into XENIX with that drive installed,
you can run fdisk on it. The manual doesn't discribe adding a second disk
which will just be used as DOS.
