Serial Logitech Trackman -w- VP/ix

I've been trying for ever to get the Logitech Serial mice to work under
VP/ix and now I just bought an Trackman and it doesn't work either.

When I connect a RS-232 line analyzer between the mouse and the port
it seems that when the MOUSE.COM starts up it sends an init sequence
to the mouse.. .Then the mouse floods the CPU (RD) with input
meanwhile the CPU continues to send junk to the mouse.. After a
little bit MOUSE complains about the mouse not responding.

This all works perfectly under dos. Simple COM1 board, simple
cables etc. Even works with the event drivers! (mkdev mouse)

Before you ask, yes I made sure that both the event drivers and
VP/ix weren't accessing the port at the same time. I've never got
it to work. I have RTFM many times..

So, have I missed something or is it time to buy a bus mouse?

Thanks in advance,
Karl Bunch
