$PRINTER environment variable in Unix

On UNIX System V,  the lp print spooler will search the environment for 
a variable named LPDEST.  If it is set,  the print job will be sent to
that destination.  No need to even include the "-d" option on the command
line.

This works on all AT&T 3B[1]x systems.
