Wyse WY-995 board to support 8 serial ports

I'm trying to gather information regarding the WY-995, as I may have
an opportunity to purchase one of these used. I am most interested
in supporting 2 or 3 lines at very high baud rates (38.4 Kbaud or above
both input and output) and having access to other lines for relatively
slow communication (a 9600 baud terminal, a mouse, a 2400-baud modem).
Neither the seller of this board nor the Wyse sales people that I managed
to communicate with was able to tell me if this board had a dedicated
microcontroller capable of offloading character-by-character interrupts
from the main CPU. The seller reports that he drives 8 terminals at
9600 baud without "noticeable" system degradation. Wyse says the board
is capable of driving 8 channels at 19.2 Kbaud, or 3 lines at 76.8
Kbaud.
Do any of you have more detailed information?
Is this board known by any other name?
Is this board supported by SCO? (I realize that Wyse provides drivers,
but I'd rather not have to worry about going back to Wyse for new drivers
each time SCO releases a new kernel...)
Under SCO Unix, can the board support input and output flow control using
hardware signals?
I'm interested in all experiences, good or bad, that any of you might
be willing to share...
I'm also interested in whatever alternative boards you might want to
suggest for an inexpensive solution to my needs (HINT: I'm looking
for a bargain in an intelligent used multi-port board)
Thanks for your responses.
