serious problem with adaptec aha-15

Check the J5 jumper on the host adapter.  It should not be installed
for most C&T CPU boards.  This applies to the original 1540 (discrete
board) only.  Also, you might call Adaptec tech support and check to
see if you have the current version of the firmware, not the BIOS.
