SCO Xnx 2.3.2 on a PS/2 - Bad Track Problems

I have a machine which is a IBM PS/2 Model 80. It has the IBM ESDI Controller
with a CDC 330 Meg hard drive. I'm getting read errors on the media. However
the bad spots are already it the bad track table.

When I badtrk the disk, it finds the bad spot and displays the message that
this location is already considered bad.

I've installed many copies of SCO and have never seen the problem of it not
using the bad track table. Is this a MCA release bug? Is there a fix?

Thanks in advance.
