make dependency generation

There have been several programs recently which do automatic generation of
make dependencies, in particular handling of include files.  People may
be interested in the June, 1984 issue of SOFTWARE - PRACTICE AND
EXPERIENCE where there is another method of generating dependencies
based on the includes.  In particular they may like to try their programs
on the example given.
