XENIX cc -dos question

How do you compile a C program using floating point.  The following
commands all failed with "__fltused undefined" error:
	cc -dos file.c
	cc -dos file.c -lcfp
	cc -dos file.c -lcfp -lm
Where is this "_fltused" and what is it used for ?
Any pointer would be appreciated.
