What this newsgroup is for

This newsgroup is intended to be used by UNIX users to trade helpful
hints and strange and arcane trivia about UNIX, its history and commands.

If you have a problem with an MFCF provided command, for example something
that is not clear in the documentation, a command that is missing from a
particular machine, an apparent bug or misfeature, your problem is probably
best directed to the group uw.mfcf.gripe instead of to uw.unix.  We try
to respond to every gripe, and try to fix the appropriate things.
