Thanks to help from this list, I ported the S statistics package
to the 90x (2.5) with little trouble.  All the important stuff
seems to work well, but if we execute the built-in "ls" command,
or try to use a shell escape "!ls" 
it crashes the machine!

Anybody else notice this behavior, or have a fix?  Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated if this is a known problem.
