Bug in vnews

The "r" (= reply) command in the version of vnews currently installed
at Berkeley seems to assume a greater degree of intelligence in the
mail system than actually exists. When replying to a path

sitea!siteb!...!sitez!foo!bar

it puts in the "To:" field of the reply the contents of the "From:"
field of the message being replied to, which is typically "bar at foo".
If we don't talk to foo, the local mailer bounces it back, I have to
go track down the message I was replying to, and then compose a reply
path to get to foo. This shouldn't be necessary. Has anybody fixed
this yet? Or am I just overlooking something?
