Description:
	if you use eqn-formatted text in a pic picture, the components
	don't line up right.

Repeat by:
	\"	well, here's an example:
	.EQ
	delim ##
	.EN
	.PS
	box "mao"
	arrow "#x sub i" above
	box "mao"
	.PE

Cause:
	pic recovers from its line feeds with a .sp -1.  eqn sometimes
	uses \x to reserve extra white space below the line.

Cure:
	tell pic to say .sp -1-\n(.a instead of .sp -1.
