/usr/adm/unix.log errors, what's these?

I thought it stood for BAD DMA for Direct Memory Access.  I was wondering
why this happened?

Couldn't I add the blocks using the diagnostic disk "s4test" and add
blocks to the bad block table?  If so how would I do that?  Is the blk #
the physical sector, etc??
