List of software on skeeve

Once again, it is time to update the list of interesting software that
is available via anonymous UUCP from skeeve. The software is described
below.

Here are the details:

The files available are listed by group. Each line is the file name,
the size in bytes, and a brief description of the contents.

The .Z suffix means this stuff is compressed. You can get compress from
THE STORE!, and it comes with the news software.

The phone line listed above is dedicated to skeeve, so feel free to call
at any time of day. It is however, only the 1200 baud modem that comes
with the 3B1.

(I own a trailblazer, but haven't hooked it up yet.  Maybe soon.)

There is a file named INDEX in the directory that will be an up to date
ls -l of what I have.

Notes:
	I have done lots of updating.  Of note, gnu diff, grep, bash, make
gawk and binutils are all at the latest rev.  I have added perl3 and deleted
perl2, and updated elm to the latest patchlevel.  Flex and RCS are also at
the latest versions.  I have also added gnu fgrep, and the source for the
Berkeley Mail program, from UUNET.

	Basically, with the exceptions of gcc, g++, libg++, gdb, gas, and
emacs, you can get all the gnu software from skeeve.  I may nuke the
binutils though, in the near future, as it's not directly usable on the
Unix/PC.

	The original version of gawk 2.11 and the patch file for it won't
stay around too long.  If you have 2.11 just get the diff.  If you don't
have any version of 2.11, get the 2.11.1 tar file.
