This is getting really interesting.

Because some members of ISO don't like trigraphs we might end up
with an ISO standard that is different from the ANSI standard.

Just imagine if the only difference is the existence of trigraphs.

We'd have an iinntteerrnnaattiioonnaall standard wwiitthhoouutt trigraphs (and why not,
as many people have pointed out many times, they aren't really
necessary) and an AAmmeerriiccaann standard wwiitthh trigraphs.

The Americans obviously must have a greater need for trigraphs
than anyone else if they are willing to let this happen.
