Not exactly true, You need 1 Video Disabler if you have a P4 video card,
a new PAL (Part of a non-AT&T Kit) for the P3 or P2 video card, and
NO PARTS if you have a P8 video card.

PARADISE, TAXAN, SOME OTHERS (STB)......
It is using the AT&T monitor that is tough, a Mult sync works fine.

The best choice is the TAXAN 557 GOLD Card If you have an AT&T 318 monitor.

The cable is easy to make.

Not True Just order the 1.43 ROM BIOS Kit...

You only need the video card info to order the disabling kit.

Here's a source for a KIT to correct a software bug built into the 6300
(16 bit i/o inverted), it works but need a better connector for the 16bit
slots.

William J. Allen, 10120 Lockwood Drive, Cupertino, CA 95014, (408)
257-9739, has developed a hardware fix for the hi-byte low-byte order
problem with the AT&T 6300's bus converter board. This board, which he
sells for $45 mounts in one of the 16 bit connector slots (uses a signal
from this slot) and connects to th PROM chip socket on the bus converter
board by a ribbon cable. The front half of the 16 bit slot remains
available for a half card. He reports it permits installation of a EGA
card (he is using a VEGA Deluxe) and all programs he has tried so far
work fine. This includes WINDOWS 1.x and 2.0, PC PaintBrush, Generic
CADD in EGA mode, 123 (including 132/43 mode), QUATTRO and AUTOCAD.
His $45 kit includes the board for the fix and the needed disabler chip
for the AT&T VDC.

HIS KIT USES A PAL TYPE DISABLERC, THIS WILL WORK ON OLDER 6300s.
NOTE:
If you have a memory card to bring your 6300 up to 640K you may experience
problems getting some EGA cards to work. You will also need a newer DOS version
(AT&T 3.2 v2.02 or newer) to get ANY EGA basic or special(ANSI) functions to
work.

DO THIS AT YOU OWN RISK
