The 'e' protocol is for use over Error-free transports such as a TCP connection, 
Starlan, etc.  It basically sends the file length and then just does write()s 
at the port, and assumes the medium will deliver it intact.  I suppose if you 
turned off spoofing that the Telebits could handle it, but you'd have to watch 
out for characters dropped between the modem and host.
