sxt and pty sample source

Does anyone have sample source how to open, manipulate, and close
sxt's and pty's?!?!   Please help me!

If you have any sample (relatively short) code that you could send
me i would really appreciate that.  I have a 3B2-310 running SVR3.2
and a 3B2-400 running SVR3.1.
