InterViews for the att 6386

Has anyone built InterViews successfully for the AT&T 6386 running sysVr3.2.2?
I tried the build the other day, and I couldn't get past the bootstrap 
phase - for some reason the att configuration file is not being read...

If you've built InterViews successfully for this platform, could you send me
some advice on how to do this?
