sources for WD1010 (or the lack thereof.) Summary.

I had a couple of responses to my inquiry about where to find WD1010 disk
controllers.  One person suggested calling western Digital and supplied
3 or 4 numbers.  Well, WD will only talk to me to tell me about their
local dealers.  I got 4 numbers, 3 did not answer or their sales people were
out.  The fourth wanted $35.00 per chip (for a WD1010!).  My original reason
for wanting these was that I still have not made the HD upgrade and I thought
it would be cheaper to have a couple of those as insurance.  Well, it turns
out that the following people have the WD2010 (more features for less bucks)
for $15.00 a piece.  They advertise in Radio-Electronics, among (I assume)
other places.  One person suggested them.

It looks like WD1010's are pretty much impossible to find.  But then, with
