The command /etc/killall will allow you to kill a program by specifying its
name.  The command "/etc/killall grcond" should do the trick.  If killall
complains about permissions, you may have an older release.  Use
"chmod 2111 killall" to set permissions on killall so any user can use it
on their processes.
