Print Spooler Advice Wanted

I'm about to set up my newly-arrived 4D-25TG. An Apple LaserWriter will
go on a serial port. Previously I had been using a Sun, which will
be given to someone else in my department. On the Sun, which used to
host the LaserWriter, I used the Berkeley print spooler. The question is,
should I set up the Iris to use the lp (SysV) or the lpr (BSD) spooler?

I have Adobe Transcript (source license), and I believe this supports
either spooler.

If I want other machines, not Irises, on the network to be able to spool to
the printer, does this affect the decision?

By the way, the Berkeley spooler does sometimes jam, at least on the Sun,
which is a pain.

	Confused in NY,
	-P.
