Developer's Forum

I just received a 19-page fax describing the Developer's Forum to be held in
May. Though it all looks fine and dandy, I am unable to PAY Silicon Graphics
to tell me what their plans are for the next 18 months. Perhaps they are
charging just enough to break even on the "event," but I still cannot pay it.
So I am wondering if there will be proceedings available which will describe
in detail IRIX 4.0 and the whole X/GL interface. I am not a Geometry Partner,
so I don't get any information that way. I'm just a government employee with
a Personal IRIS trying to develop a biomechanics software package. It's going
to be hard convincing 20 research labs to get IRISes to run my software if the
machines they buy 6 months from now won't run my GL/NeWS program.

I don't need any special treatment, I'd just like to get details on where SGI
is going before they get there (without having to pay hundreds of dollars).
Does anyone know if proceedings will be available?

thanks,
pete loan
