OS 4.0 and xylogics 450 controllers?

Has anyone had any luck bringing up OS 4.0 on a sun 3/160 fileserver with
an old 450 controller? We have two disks (each on a 450) and one came up
OK but the other one wouldn't. When we swapped out the old controllers and
put in two new 451's, everything worked fine.
