VAX/VMS save set tape density conversion on a sun drive?

I have a VAX/VMS save set on a 6250 bpi tape. I'd like to make a 1600 bpi
version of it on our sun tape drive since it is the only multiple density
drive I have. If someone has actually done this could they give the
recipe?
