My problem with quotas not working on /files on the 386i was solved by changing the entry for "/dev/rooth" in /etc/fstab to "/dev/sd2h". This is documented in the 4.0.1 release notes and was also suggested by Brad Walker of Sun and David Kovar. Thanks! Jon Dunn jwd at phil.indiana.edu
