VT100 Emulation on SUN for logging-on to VAX 11/750 via RS232

I'm trying to log-on to a VAX 11/750 from my SUN3/140 thru the serial port
on the workstation. What I need is analogous to a PC running a terminal
emulation program (e.g. Kermit or vterm), acting as a dumb terminal on the
VAX. Since I can get windowing capabilities thru Sunview, I would like to
make one window emulate as a dumb terminal on the VAX.

An easier way would be to network the two machines and telnet the VAX from
the SUN; however we already have serial ports built into our lab for
connecting to our VAX directly. Networking the machines would require
additional effort to run an Ethernet cable from the SUN to the VAX (which
is located in another lab one floor below mine).

Is this possible without having to purchase any additional software for
the SUN? If yes, how can it be done? If not, is there any software
available or how can I code a routine to do it?

Please mail my your logical suggestions. Thanks very much.
