Can an SLC be a MIPS client?

We want to get a Sun SLC workstation and although we have a Sun-4/280 that
could act as a server, we would like to consider trying to use our MIPS
mainframe (actually a CDC 4680) to act as a server. Does any one see a
problem in doing this?
