Sparcstation SLC or Decstation 2100?

As programmers' workstations, for developing Fortran and C programs, with
considerable graphics content, and which must be portable to many
platforms, we are considering either Sparcstation SLCs or Decstation
2100s.  Any comments for or against either or both for this role?
