Exec command

Does anyone know of a command to use on a SUN4 to execute a database on a
remote machine using RPC?

I'm in the process of composing a RPC program to access a database on a
remote machine and query it.  The only problem is getting a command to run
INFORMIX (isql) utility to run the database.
