Configuration: Sun 3/260 running SunOS 4.1. Tape drive is Exabyte
EXB-8200.

The following is a partial log of our nightly network dumps to our
Exabyte. We have never seen a failure like this before and it occurred
within dump for just one filesystem out of many:

[...dumps were going fine up to this point]

+ Dumping /data...
DUMP: Date of this level 9 dump: Tue Jan 15 03:20:35 1991
DUMP: Date of last level 5 dump: Sat Jan 5 03:40:26 1991
  DUMP: Dumping /dev/rsd1h (/data) to /dev/nrst1
DUMP: mapping (Pass I) [regular files]
  DUMP: mapping (Pass II) [directories]
  DUMP: mapping (Pass II) [directories]
  DUMP: estimated 143552 blocks (70.09MB) on 0.01 tape(s).
  DUMP: dumping (Pass III) [directories]
ld.so: call to undefined procedure _close from 0x202a6
  DUMP: Broken pipe
DUMP: The ENTIRE dump is aborted.

[couldn't dynam link with close, then the rest went fine from here on...]

Any ideas? We're hoping it doesn't happen again, but...

Thanks,
Jeff
