AIX USERS TO FORM NATIONAL SUPPORT GROUP

AIX users do not currently have a forum with which to share ideas, promote
products and speak with a common voice to IBM and other vendors. The National
AIX Users' Group has been founded to provide such a forum.

Meetings to kickoff the first National AIX - RISC System/6000 User Group will
be held within major high tech centers including Boston, Austin and San
Francisco (Silicon Valley). The first of these meetings will take place in
Boston, MA and Austin, TX on May 8th.

Planned activities for this non-profit organization include educational
seminars, support services, meetings with IBM representatives and a national
AIX general members conference. Meetings are scheduled to occur every other
month. Both corporate, individual and educational memberships are available.
Admission to the inaugural meeting will be free. The groups activities will
be specifically targeted for users currently running or porting to AIX as
well as OEMs, VARs, and ISVs considering an AIX product strategy.
