automount

  i've never seen your configuration before, which may explain why it
  doesn't work.  we have the following which should be
  self-explanatory:

  /etc/rc (after the mount all request):

	/usr/etc/automount /net /etc/mount.map

  /etc/mount.map:

	usr.aix.a               -rw,hard,intr   aix1:/usr/aix/a
	usr.aix.b               -rw,hard,intr   aix1:/usr/aix/b

  lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     system        14 Jan 30 20:43 /usr/aix/a@ -> 
							/net/usr.aix.a
  lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     system        14 Jan 30 20:43 /usr/aix/b@ -> 
							/net/usr.aix.b
