1.1 and the ufs file system

We have seen kernel panics when using the ufs filesystem as a news
partition.  These panics seems to happen during lots of inode munging.

Normal use does not seem to be a problem athough I do stress that the
ufs filesystem IS KNOWN TO BE BROKEN.
