MacWorkstation and A/UX

I know someone who is doing MacWorkstation development. 
They want to run a C program running under A/UX, use MacWorkstation 
interfaces for connected Macs and also run the application on the A/UX machine.

Can anyone help with the following questions:

1. Given current versions of A/UX and MacWorkstation, what needs to be done to
run this application on remote Macs via LocalTalk or Ethernet connections?

2. Again, given current versions, what needs to be done to run the
MacWorkstation interface on A/UX machine?

Hints on strategies and use of such things as the communications toolbox
would be really neat.
