lpr font/size?

You can use the enscript command to select any font that you wish.  For
example to print with 9 point courier type:

enscript -fCourier9 -p- filename | lpr

I would assume that if you wanted to set up specific queues in your
printcap file, you could have different "printers" defined with
different fonts so that you did not have to use enscript each time.
