Digiboard COM/8i DTR Bug On Dialin/Dialout Ports

I am experiancing a problem with the Digiboard COM/8i intelligent (?) serial
port card with version 2.6 of the async driver.

The system is a Acer 1100/16 (80386) running SCO Xenix 386 2.3.1, with 5 Mb.
RAM.

The problem manifests itself when attempting to use one or more of the ports
for dialin/dailout using Hayes 2400, Smart One 2400 or Telebit Trailblazer
modem. I am using the ttyi11m -18m ports which supposedly (according to
Digiboard) have full modem control.

It seems that the driver is not dropping DTR when a disconnect occurs, thus
getty does not re-initialize the port. While not a huge problem on dialin,
as getty is detecting a disconnect when user exits with a ^d, or when
the program running explicitly exits, which is usually the case. It becomes
significant when I dialout using "cu" or such, and then disconnect. Because
DTR is not dropped the modem stays on line AND connected to the remote
system, resulting in significant surprises from Ma Bell's cousin NE Tel if
the call was long distance.

This problem does NOT occurr when using one of the standard serial ports,
ie. tty1A etc.

Help, patches or information would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Noel
