ESDI disk controllers for EISA

Seeking advice/opinions/suggestions/experiences with ESDI
controllers on EISA bus.  We have an HP Vectra 486.
Currently two developers are utilizing the machine with
10 Mb RAM and a single 600 Mb ESDI disk.  We have an
additional 300 Mb disk also, not currently in use.  Two
more developers are going to be added to this machine.
Our current plan is to add eight more Mb of RAM, install
a caching EISA ESDI disk controller, add the second drive
and split the file systems across the two drives.  Any
suggestions on the partitioning of the file systems are
also welcome.  Specifically seeking advice on which
ESDI controller to use.
