Hello everybody,

I have upgraided my sco xenix 3.x version to sco unix system v.

On the xenix system, we had about 300 users. After upgraiding to
unix, the passwd file was almost empty.
Now I want to fill in all 300 users, but if I do this via
the SYADMSH, it would take me days.

The users home directories, and other files I put back from
tape. So all information is restored, but now I have to
account all the users. How can I account all 300 users without
editing the passwd file (the manual says I must not edit /etc/passwd).

The Xenix passwd file is on tape. All information is available.
How to fill in all users via a shellscript...?

Any suggestions ?

Please email...
