Tape Drive Recommendations

I have a 486 running SVR4 and I'd like to put a Cartridge Tape Drive on
it that will allow me to transfer files back and forth from other UNIX
systems such as Suns. The gentleman from Wangtek assures me that the
Wangtek 5150-PK kit will work, but says that it and the 5150-EN are both
QIC-36 interfaces. I thought I wanted a QIC-02 interface. What works?

The UHC SVR4 release notes state that the likely drive/controller
combinations are:

Archive Viper 2150L Tape Drive -OR- Wangtek 5150-EN Tape Drive

will work with either

Archive VP402 -OR- Everex 811 Controllers

I have not been very successful in finding these combinations, and I
even purchased a CMS T250 Tape drive that was supposedly a QIC-02
interface and quickly became stuck in a quagmire of fingerpointing
between Midwest Peripherals and CMS.

(My personal recommendation is to not do business with either of these
companies, especially _Midwest_Peripherals_ who among other things sent
me the wrong controller board and then tried to palm it off to CMS, who
does not deal directly with end-users and refused to help due to policy,
I ended up returning the whole thing and getting a refund, I hope)

That aside, I would appreciate any information y'all could provide.

Thanks,
