Possible to send mail from an alias? (SCO Unix/MMDF)

I am wondering if it is possible to send mail via the SCO Unix 3.2.2
and MMDF interface to send mail from an alias. I have created another
alias file (call it alias.xyz) where every line is the type:

this-user: mroute
that-user: mroute
another-u: mroute
yet-another-user: mroute

Where mroute is the login account for a program that will read the MMDF
mail file /usr/spool/mail/mroute and put the letters where they belong
according to the to field (e.g. this-user at admiral.uucp, yet-another-user@
admiral.uucp and so forth). My question is, is it possible to send mail so
that the receipient, hitting his "reply to this letter" button, will send
the mail to "this-user at admiral.uucp" rather than from "mroute at admiral.uucp"
and if so, how?

All help is appreiciated.
