Extended COFF

Has anyone had any experience in writing a dynamic linker / loader
for a machine with the Mips extended COFF, or porting one from
either the standard a.out format, or from SysV COFF ?

What I would dearly love is some _really good_ documentaion, or
a reference to same.  Something along the lines of the SysV 386
manual.  Or, alternatively, to be able to correspond by email
with someone who has done something similar, and would be able
to answer some Mips Extended COFF specific questions.

Details :  DecStations 2100, 3100 and a 5820; Ultrix V2.1 (Rev. 14).
