Printer communication with Dec 5000/Ultrix 4.1

 I am trying to get my Dec 5000 talk with a Tektronix Phaser PX. I ran lprsetup
first. How can one test (other that getting a printout) that the serial port on the
Dec 5000 is working and set up properly from lprsetup?
