Blocks/Cyl specification to mkfs - am I seeing things??

In attempting to verify the numbers in the table on the 'mkfs(1m)'
manual page, I'd like a "disk guru" to check the following math:

        disk       size   cyls    blocks/cyl
	RP03	  81200	/  406  =  200
	RM05	 500384	/  823  =  608
	3B20S	 495520	/  815  =  608
 looks good so far, right?? How about this one:
	RP07	1008000 /  613  =  400??  (I get ~1600!)

We don't have many RP07s but it looks to me like 400 isn't even
close to the number to optimize performance. (The source for dcopy
agrees with me in that MAXCYL is set to 1600 with a comment stating:
"RP07 is this big".)

Am I off the wall or is it 'mkfs'? (we already hacked it once to allow
more than 1000 blocks per cylinder for 3B20 675Mb drives)
