Development System Upgrade Questions.

Hi Ron et al:

I posted this a few weeks ago to a few other newsgroups. Just to clarify
things I'll post again here:

There has been a lot of discussion the past few days on lng085,
lng244, and the XENIX devsys. Hopefully this comment may shed some 
light on things. Thanks to Bela Lubkin in our support department for 
this information.
	
There is no XENIX devsys 2.3.2.  The person who told Dan Everhart
that was mistaken.  Maybe s/he was thinking of UNIX devsys 3.2.2, which
recently started shipping.
	
Upgrades from 2.3.0 to 2.3.1 devsys are free. Your devsys must be
registered with us to get the upgrade but you don't have to have a 
support contract. Further, you can register when you call. You'll 
need the serial number for your devsys. 
	
lng085 is obsolete, replaced by the free upgrade to 2.3.1.  lng244
applies to 2.3.1 and results in the most current XENIX development
system available. It fixes a few compiler bugs, updates /lib/ldr to 
understand static functions, and fixes a bug in the mouse event library.
You may ask media to include lng244 with your upgrade to 2.3.1.
	
I don't have information on what changed from 2.3.0 to 2.3.1.  

The current version of the 286 devsys is 2.2.1, and will probably not
see another update.
